We live in a disconnected world. God created each of us for relationships and we have lots of opportunities for connecting you with other people:
Men's and Women's Groups
- Home Groups
- Christianity Explored
- Experiencing the Ancient Disciplines
- How to Study the Bible
- Foundations
- Church Family Membership Class
Home Groups
Isn't it easy to get lost in the crowd? Home Groups help make a big place small by connecting you with good friends to explore the Bible with. These groups meet weekly (mid-week evenings) and the discussion is based on the sermon from the previous Sunday. These groups are a great alternative or supplement to our men's and women's groups.
Charley Clark will help you find a group that fits. You can contact the church office for more information.

Experiencing the Ancient Disciplines
With pastor Adam Talbott
10 weeks, Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30
Throughout church history, Christians
have learned to encounter the Almighty God in many ways. Join
Pastor Adam for 10-weeks as we learn and practice a variety of
spiritual disciplines. This interactive forum will help you nurture
a deep inward journey of prayer, worship, and spiritual growth.
Each Sunday will include a round-table discussion about the previous
weeks exercises, a brief lesson about a new discipline,
an opportunity to experience the new discipline, and a description
of the weeks Home Exercise. This class is for new Christians
and mature Christians - no experience necessary!
How to Study the Bible
Three weeks, Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30
These three Sunday morning sessions will help you study the Bible on your own. Session 1 ("Interpretation") will cover the major sections of the Bible and how to understand them. Session 2 ("Resources") will show you how to find and use resources like Bible dictionaries and commentaries. You'll wonder how you managed without them! Session 3 ("Habits") will cover disciplines of rumination and self-education. You will also learn how to build an excellent home Bible study library for under $100.
Foundations
With Dick & Debbi Paulsen
One week
If you recently started attending Cornerstone, please join us for a gathering called Foundations. This session meets during the sermon (check your bulletin for upcoming dates). Dick and Debbie Paulsen will explain Cornerstone's vision and organization in a very informal session that is designed to answer your questions and help you connect. Those attending Foundations will basically follow the same procedure as the kids, leaving the service before the sermon and returning afterward for singing and Communion. Each person will receive a free CD of the sermon from that day. No RSVP required.
Church Family Membership Class
You were created by a loving God to become a part of a church family. This weekend class (Saturday morning) is designed to introduce you to the Cornerstone family - your family. We want to share with you what we believe and where we're going. The class is broken into three sessions covering: Our Vision, Our Theology, and Our Community. This is a great opportunity to learn about Cornerstone, meet other new people, and get involved. Complimentary childcare is provided. Check the bulletin or church calendar, and contact the church office to sign up. (The Foundations class is a pre-requisite.)
For additional ways to connect, see also our Men's
& Women's Ministries, Children
or Youth.
