At Cornerstone, we know that life is busy. Our people are spread all through the Foothills and most of us don't have time for a complex structure of church meetings and classes.

We also believe that too many church programs accidentally teach people to be over-dependant on "professional" Christians, without whom we cannot thrive spiritually.

As an attempt to work against our entrenched busyness and I-can't-help-myself consumerism, we've designed this community around two weekly meetings: the Sunday worship service and our men's and women's groups. (This Fall we may be adding Sunday morning classes before the worship service in order to consolidate the meeting times.) The men's and women's groups, along with the annual retreats, are great places to meet new people and to grow strong in your 1) knowledge of the Bible and 2) love for and obedience to Christ.

Men's Ministry

Cornerstone's men's ministry is especially designed to equip men to love and lead. Our experience is that many men today struggle with selfishness, theological dumbness, and passivity in spiritual and family responsibilities. Using our Distinctives as a springboard, we give men practical tools for studying the Bible on their own as well as leading their families in worship. Instead of offering tons of classes at Cornerstone, we focus on discipleship so that each person can learn to "self feed" himself and his family from the Word of God. We encourage the older men to mentor the younger in following Christ. We encourage ages 13+ to attend all our men's meetings because we don't see any reason for adolescence.

All levels of spiritual maturity are welcome at our men's meetings. However, we especially love to see the new guys come who want to grow. You will not be put on the spot or treated like a plebe. But you will be challenged by other men who believe in the firm foundation of the Bible and who know how to love and worship God with authenticity.

Women's Ministry

At Cornerstone we encourage girls/women to study the Bible and deep doctrine because we love the idea of beautiful, theologically expert, wise, strong women who protect the church from heresy, Satan and interpersonal division. This is not a group of ladies who fuss about life and quickly forget about whatever they just studied together. These ladies know the story of the Bible cold, they can explain the fine points of the Gospel, and they know who Jonathan Edwards is. These ladies know the difference between worldly sensuality and Biblical femininity. They know how to suffer with joy, they know how to love and obey worthy husbands, and they are invaluable teachers to those (including other men) who want to learn about God. We encourage the older women to mentor the younger in following Christ.
